XP will not start

XP will not start up normally or in SAFE mode or LAST
KNOWN. During bootup, a blue screen flashes, but it's so
fast that it's unreadable. The computer then starts the
bootup process again, and again, and again... any ideas?
I appreciate any input.

graphics card unable to boot into windows resolution.

i correct myself, just installed service pack 2 on an xp
pro athlon 64 3200+ system and received the obligatory
blue screen just after the windows loading screen
appeared. Had to boot in safe mode and system restore to
get back to working setup...
