XP->W2K w/domain, not workgroup file sharing possible?

I have a PC (used for work) running W2K that is set to "member of domain",
under network identification. I want to be able to share a directory on
this PC with another PC running XP home edition. Is this possible without
changing the network ID to a workgroup?

Put the XP-home in a workgroup with the same name as your domain. Use the
same loginname on that XP-home as well and it should work.
Whatever you do, don't change the domain on your W2K.
