XP vs. 2000

Monill

I am teaching at a community college using Office 2000.
(We will not upgrade until next fall.) Many of my students
have home computers using XP. Is anyone aware of a
resource where we can go to find the differences in
accomplishing tasks using XP?

Monill,

<Many of my students have home computers using XP.

Is that powerpoint xp/2002 or windows XP ?

If it's windows XP, it will not make any difference to the powerpoint files.

If it's powerpoint xp/2002 then you can turn off the new features by going
Tools > Options > Edit > disable new features.

A powerpoint xp/2002 file should open pretty much ok in powerpoint 2000. But all the new features (wipes etc) will be
converted to what powerpoint 2000 can handle.
