XP Version of Word

I open a new document page and start typing into the page. When I reach the
end of the line it jumps to the next line like it normally should but then
drops that second line to the bottom of the page. No matter what I change in
page layout this continually happens and it also prints it out like this. I'm
boggled at this point entirely and have uninstalled and reinstalled the
program. After uninstallation I use CCLeaner to clean up any remnants of
Office 2002 out of the registry and I also check the Programs folder to
ensure that there is nothing left of the program on my system. Once I do the
reinstall it immediately starts doing this again. I've also tried to install
Office 2000 Premium version as well and experience the same issue. I'm really
stumped on this one....any help or suggestions would be welcome! Thanks!!

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, set the vertical alignment to Top (you
currently have it set to Justified). If that solves the problem in a given
document, you'll need to make the change in Normal.dot as well. In a new
Blank Document, without making any other changes, go to Page Setup, make
that one change, and press the Default button, then answer Yes.

As an aside, note that CCLeaner has been implicated in problems where
*wanted* changes to the Registry are not saved.
