XP Updates that don't work

Hey everyone, I use MS update URL to update my XP system
often, but recently, one of them downloads and doesn't
work. I keep getting error messages and then the next day
it will remind me to do it all over again. How do I solve
this problem? The error message says, "dahotfix.exe has
encountered a problem and will close. I have sent an
error report to Microsoft, but never hear anything.
Please advise. Thanks for your help!

Try rolling back your system to a previous state.
Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore. A restore point
should have been created automatically before you installed the update.
