XP Trouble

I recently purchased the upgrade program of Windows XP. I installed it on my
computer and found that everything was working except my sound card. I ran
the troubleshooter, tried to reload the drivers and Windows told me that I
had no sound card. I uninstalled the program and went back to ME. My sound
card works fine now. Why does XP not recognize the sound card and turn it
on? I would really like to get this issue resolved as XP is an awesome
operating system. I have a soundblaster sound card that was integrated with
my Gateway PC. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try updating the Soundblaster drivers, they are usually the problem.
