I get the following error when I turn on my computer: "Can't run 16-bit Windows program. Insufficient memory to run this application. Quit one or more Windows applications then try again."

This happens at startup before I even open any programs. I just close the error, and as far as I can tell, I am able to open all of my programs. But my computer does seem to be running much slower. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!

Amy, you are using an older program designed to work with DOS based OS's
such as Win9X, Me or
Older. If you know what that program is then try running it in
compatibility mode.

Amy, check to see what programs are loading at startup and remove the
offending one.

Start | Run | MsConfig

Look in the start up tab for a list of programs that are loading at
start up.

Go to this site for an idea of what each program does.

One of these is probably the offending program. Unchecking it will make
it not run the next time.
