XP SP2

Since downloading and installing the new SP2 , my system
has become very slow in all aspects. I have tried to keep
my temp files cleaned out along with any other areas
that "Disk Cleanup" helps with. I have tried to keep my
hard drive defraged. I have tried to do all the
optimizing that i can. Has anyone else run into this and
if so , what can I do to cure this and get back to a
faster prcessing spped. My system is about two years
old,1.8 ghz, 256 ram, 80 gig hard drive, Windows XP Home
