XP SP2 restarts on shutdown

That worked! Got rid of the system error in the event viewer. Yet to check if
it has resolved my original problem 'pc restarts on shutdown. Will post later
on that...

Managed to rid the EventVwr of System and Application errors - but the
restart on shutdown issue (original post) still remains. Guess I may have to
settle for a clean instal if all other options fail.

Any suggestions?

Was having same problem, first thing I did was to do a virus scan using
Norton AnitVirus 2005. NAV Found 10 files, all related to NavExcel Search
Toolbar (not sure how it got on my computer). I allowed NAV to
delete/quarantine these files. To my surprise my shutdown problem was fixed.
