Xp SP2 and IE

Hi

I have installed XP SP2 recently to some of my users.
They have a prob accessing an intranet application.

One of the pages in the application creates a batchfile in the C: of the
users' PC and launches it using javascript.

On XP SP2 machines the batch file gets created but when the script is
calling the file, it fails with an "Access denied" error.

I have tried adding the site to trusted sites and local intranet zone.
I also tried to lower the security settings for both these zones.

Still the error occurs.

How can I solve this.

Thanks in advance.

Changing this setting (SP2 only) might help:
Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Scroll to Security >
Enable active content on local Computer (or similar) > tick.

Hi

I have enabled that option already as also te option to enable active
content from CD ROM.
I have also set all ActiveX and File Download related options to enabled for
the Trusted Sites zone.
(And to be sure the file does get downloaded).

But still the batch file will not fire.

No further idea from afar. See if there are related entries in the
