XP setup wont let me format RAID for install

Matt

Here is the issue. I have set up a striped SATA RAID on an Asus
Crosshair MOBO. During the XP instalation, i F6 and load the raid and
SATA drivers. When i go to create the partition on the RAID, It will
let me do so, but will not let me format the drives. If i try to
instal on the drives, it tells me that the partition is not valid, and
to go back and select a different partition to instal on. Any ideas?

In F6,youre actually just loading drivers for the RAID/SATA controller
hardware,
make sure you select the proper file to load. Also, once selected & it runs the
floppy,press s again,reselect the file,reinstall,once its run 2X,press
enter key(exits
the F6 setup). Also,is RAID set up in the BIOS & with RAID,you must see the
RAID configuration at every start-up or restart (post BIOS screen),if not
seen,
RAID isnt set up properly in the BIOS..
