XP Separator Page

Bob

I'm having a problem and can't find out how to get around it. I have
XP workstations in a Windows 2000 domain. If I add a local printer
(LPT1), I'm able to add a separator page by selecting the printer
Properties - Advanced Tab - Separator Page - and then clicking browse
to select on of the .sep files in \Windows\System32. However, the
Browse... button is grayed out when I try to do this on a network
printer that is shared on a Windows 2000 server. I've even tried while
logged on as the domain administrator.

Please help. Thanks.

Yes the browse is designed for local only.

I usually place my separator pages onto the system drive ( I also modify
them). D:\sepfiles\sepfile1.sep, sepfile2.sep....

Remotely just edit the location using the full path and the files get used.
You can also specify c:\windows\system32\pcl.sep instead of placing the
files in a new location.
