xp pro upgrade open license versus retail box

P

peter

I used an standard retail box to upgrade my pc's to
windows xp pro. I then ordered the Open License with
media and the appropriate amount of licenses for my pc's.
Is there any way that I can switch this over. I have 3
days left on my original license upgrade install.

I tried to install the Open license CD (which does not
have service pak 1 on it) and the pc installed seems to
be now in a state of invalid license. (When you try to
do any updates it fails.) So I have 7 more pcs to do and
I am not sure the best way to proceed.

You'll need to perform a "repair install" using your new
Windows XP CD and Product Keys for each computer.
