XP Pro re-install

I purchased a computer with xp pro pre-instaalled and it
worked fine. I did a re-install from the disk supplied
and discovered too late that it was not the same as the
one originally used. I now cannot set up dial-up or dsl
conections. The event log shows Remote access
communicationm mgr terminated access denied. Then SSDP
discovery service is denied. The account specified for
this service is different from the account specified for
other services running.

Any ideas

John,
To help you, we need some more information. What kind of reinstall disk did
you use? Was it a Win XP CD, or a system restore disk that restored the
system to its original shipped state?
Have you tried the New connection wizard access from Start>All Programs>
Accessories> Communication?
Post back.

The problem seems to be a difference in network account
names. SSDP discovery service says the account specified
for this service is different from the account specified
for other services running in this process. I get error
711 which I cant follow because microsoft needs me to have
web access. Catch 22 there.
