XP Pro Password no longer works after Control Panel/computer name/ Net ID/wizard

Hopefully someone can help me after I tried to add a
busines laptop computer
to my home network in . Both computers use XP Pro.
I did not select a new profile and when asked if the
computer was part of
business network or home computer I choose home by
mistake. After rebooting
the computer my password no longer works but my User name
is the same.
The business network was part of a domain.

User accounts belong to either domains or workgroups and not both
without some tweaking. When you switched to a workgroup, XP created a
new account for you. Try logging on with no password. If that works,
you'll see the new account screen and all your documents and settings
from the domain account will not be present.

Thank you for your quick reply but no luck with the
password.
When I leave the password blank it still does not work.
It has kept my user name the password does not work.
Even if I set up as a home workgroup I don't recall the
wizard asking for a new password.
It asked to reboot and thats it.
Using starting option after pressing F8 last known
working system did not help either.
