XP PRO ON 2K NETWORK, IE NOT WORKING.

I have a windows 2000 server running approx 5 clients,
some 98 and some XP. The XP machines are running really
slow, (i have noticed an article on Norton AV which
apparently slows XP down and will remove this later). I
have disabled the synchronisation to speed things up but I
am still having an issue with DNS (i think). All the 98
machines have Internet access but the XP machines don't.
DHCP works fine and i can tracert, but i cannot ping
yahoo.
ADSL router plugged into a switch and DNS and DHCP setup
on the server. It has worked, but DNS was reinstalled to
try and speed up the XP machines about a week ago (wish i
knew about norton then!) . What should i be looking for
in DNS to ensure it is configured correctly? Oh, Ie doest
work on the 2k server either....

The question is, if this is an AD Domain what DNS server are you using on
the XP clients?
You must use only your local DNS server on domain members, the Win98
machines cannot be domain members, they don't count.
And have you configured your internal DNS to resolve internet names?
