XP Pro Freezes

Brent

When in Windows XP Pro, the computer freezes as soon as I
try to do anything. Windows will load just fine to the
desktop, and I can move the cursor around. However, as
soon as I try to do anything, such as click on the start
menu, click on a desktop icon, or simply right-click, the
whole system stops responding and I have to manually
restart the machine.

I have the latest drivers and updates, and I haven't
installed anything recently (ie. just before the problem
started).

Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

Do you have an anti-virus installed and up to date?
