XP Pro...Active directory logon

A client computer...XP Pro. No problem logging on to SBS 4.5. New Server with Win 2000 and domain name change...now XP machine takes approx 5-6 minutes to logon. No problem in safe mode or logging locally.
Also..
"user" cannot install any programs or connect digital camera to machine now. Cannot find permissions to change on server to allow this

You have a DNS problem on the new server... many support
