XP prints graphics but not text

I have 6 XP Pro client computers on a SBS2000 domain and have been
experiencing printing problems as the workstaions are upgraded to XP SP2. A
user printing an excel file on an XP SP2 workstation gets a graphic template
with no data printed in it. The same user printing the same file on pre
upgrade workstation gets a good print job. Similar problems printing web
pages and word docs. I have printed test pages from both type workstations
and show the same printer drivers being used. I have noted that users
logging onto XP workstations are registered in WINS, but same users logging
onto XP SP2 workstations are not registered in WINS. Appears to be a problem
with SP2, but I haven't found any reference to it anywhere.

Using HP LaserJet 2100 on server LPT1. Also using HP DeskJet 1220C on USB
for printing drawings from 2020 kitchen design software with similar results,
i.e. successful print jobs from pre-upgrade XP workstations and bad print
jobs from XP SP2 workstations.

I had to send my reply in a form that would go thru my IP's email server.
Using Outlook express, the combine and decode option must be used to read
the reply.

Sorry Chuck, but I'm new to this and don't know what you mean about combining
and decoding to read your reply.
