xp no speech recognition tab

Hi all,

There is no speech recognition tab under the speech in control panel.
Microsoft website suggest to install from Microsoft office which I
don't have. I have search the forum for info but no suitable answer.
Please advise what sound software should I install or I just need to
config the xp only?

You need MS Office.

You would need to purchase some software that does speech recognition

The Speech Recognition tab only shows when a speech recognition engine is
installed.

Speech recognition is available in Office XP or the SAPI 5.1 SDK download.
Or if you want 2x better accuracy, purchase Office 2003 or a Tablet PC. Then
you'll get speech and the tab in the control panel to go with it.
