XP msconfig startup, file name locations:
Of course you should back up your registry pryor to editing it.
start>run type in "regedit" without the quote marks, then press the
enter key.
click on "MYcomputer" to highlite it. Then right click it. Choose export.
Enter a file name. Click on the save button.
You can restore it by clicking on the above saved (file name).reg to
restore it if
you goof up.
start>run>regedit
then locate:
Key Name: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
Shared Tools
MSConfig
startupfolder
note: Do not delete the "startupfolder" listing, only the ones below, that
you don't
showing up.
