XP & Linux dual boot

I'm sure this has been asked before somewhere around here, but I couldn't
find any mention of it.

After the installation of XP (over windows 2000) linux no booty anymore. I
was using GRUB.

It seems that all I have to do is have the MBR point to the two bootloaders.
Isn't that the way it works? But I don't remember how to do this (it's been a
while since I installed linux).

They are both on the same drive. /boot is not in the first 1024 cylinders;
seeems like a lot of people say you have to have it in the first 1024. I know
that's not true, as I had it working fine with W2K.

Thanks for any help!

Point the MBR to the GRUB boot loader, then configure
it to invoke the boot files for the two OSs. A Linux newsgroup
would be the best place to tell you how to do this with GRUB.
