xp internet timeout

How do I keep my high speed internet on all the time? I have 2 xp
computers 1 home 1 pro. After 1 hour if I don't go to a website the
connection is gone and I have to restart the computer.
Any ideas on how to fix this? TIA

number of options - talk to your ISP first - will be a setting on their
connection software...
