XP Home won't load after install of windows driver update

After doing my windows update which included a driver
update my computer stops while loading XP. It appears to
be occur when it reaches the new driver from microsoft,
Mx1W2k.sys. I am able to boot from my XP install CD, but
cannot figure out how to disable the driver.

Clayton, on next Startup tap F8 repeatedly and at the Menu select Safe
Mode with Command Prompt
Do a system restore from there.
