XP Home to XP Pro - Home edition still listed in start up

i recently installed XP home edition on my computer being that i had been
using Pro I had my friend find her Pro disk so i could install it and use Pro
again now i'm dealing with XP Home Edition showing up in a list when i start
up my computer how do i get rid of the Home edition showing up here?

I would guess that you did not upgrade, but installed a clean version of
Pro.
It's easy enough to remove the entry from Boot.INI.

HOW TO Edit the Boot.ini File in Windows XP:

You simply remove the Home entry, and restart.

Yes I did a whole new install hoping it would wipe out the home
version....thanks though for your advice and the link i shall try that when i
get home from work today in 3 hours.

You did not do a clean installation.

You could edit the Boot.INI - or go back and do an actual clean
installation...
