XP HOME SP2 Blocking MDB?

I have an mdb file in a zip archive on my desktop and when I try and
extract it I get Windows has blocked access to this potentially harmful
file? I cannot find anything on this. I know how to unblock from
Outlook but I dont' know why xp is blocking it I guess cause it has a
bunch of vba code in it. Any ideas on how to unblock this? Thanks

What version of Outlook are you running? I know Outlook 2003 doesn't like
files that have mdb attachments and will block it and prevent you from
opening it. A quick and easy way to get around it is to send the file to a
yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc. account and then download and extract it from
there.

The other thing you can check is your zone settings within Outlook. If you
go to the Tools -> Options menu option you'll get your options screen. Then
click on the Security tab and you'll see zone settings about half way down.
If you know it's a trusted source of (e-mail address removed), then add
domaina.com to your trusted list and that should take care of it.
