XP Home Restore Problem

My son tried to use my emachines (T2440) restore disk to restore his
emachines (T1440) XP Home software. It started restoring and then shutdown.
Now he cannot get the PC to boot. All that comes up is an emachines screen;
no drive lights, etc.
Can anyone shed some light on this or offer suggestions on getting the drive
to boot again? I already tried the floppy also, but it doesn't look to boot
from that either.

Try contacting Emachines
if it was cars you just tried to put a chevy tranny in a volkswagon and wonder
why it does not work
