I am at the point where my wife's computer can see mine, but I can not see
hers (or any "shared" folders) in my network places. My registry setting for
anonymous user are correct, I believe my guest account is activated properly,
I can ping my machine and outside the (home) network. hmm havn't tried her
machine by name or IP... Everything is issued by DHCP though.

Any thoughts???

Misconfigured / overlooked firewalls are the best possibility.

If that's not it, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely:

Tom,

As I've said over and over again, you have a problem that involves 2 computers.
When those 2 computers can't communicate, you don't really know which one is at
fault, and maybe they both are. So looking at diagnostics from just one only
gives you a piece of the picture.

However, the "ipconfig /all" does give us one place to start. IPV6 aka Teredo
Tunneling is known to cause problems like yours. Please un install IPV6,
restart the computer, and rerun diagnostics. Then pair that with diagnostics
from the other computer.
