XP Home network puzzle

Colin Turinga

I have 4 PCs networked together. We will call them A,B,
C, D,. Computers A and C can see all the shares on all
the PCs. Computers B and D can see the shares on A and C
and on themselves but not on each other. I have checked
the knowledge base and checked the status of the browser
and netbois over tcp/ip and all are correct and equal on
all machines. Security settings are the same on all
machines.

Computer D is the shared internet connection and all
computers can surf the net fine. (even B) Therefore
TCP/IP would be working fine. Only the windows browser
seems to not be working.

The error message is:

"\\A is not accessible. You might not have permission to
use this network resource. Contact the administrator of
this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network path was not found."

Any Help would be appreciated.

Colin,

What Operating System is running on each computer?

Are there any firewalls running on any?

Do you have an identical account / password setup, and in use, on each
computer?

Cheers,

Chuck
