XP Home: How to shorten the Desktop Search Bar ?

Dear Sir,

I am having the problem of a very long Desktop Search Bar at the Task Bar.

Now I can only see one running program icon at a time and need to use to Up
or Down Arrow to get the other icon.

May I know how to shorten it to show all the icons of the running programs
at the task bat ?

I have it on a couple of my systems from some time back. It was available
through Windows Downloads. It is not the same as the toolbar option when
you right click the taskbar (which was removed in SP3).

As I recall, it is this beastie:

Unlock the taskbar and then drag the search window to the size you want. Relock
