upgrading from windows 98 to xp. i recieved this fatal error message;
Microsoft Windows XP error sxs.dll:syntax error in manifest or policy file
"C:\$win_nt$. ~ls\I386\asms\6000\msft\vcrtl.man" on line 17.
The error message also stated; "One of the components that windows needs to
continue set-up could not be installed.
A componens file does not match the verification information present in the
component manifest>"
