I am running XP Home on a Toshiba laptop. Recently loaded Norton Anti-Virus
and Microsoft Anti-Spyware (Beta version). Problem is both crash my computer
before the scans are complete.
I've run FixSwen & CWShredder and removed a couple of dodgy things. I
believe there may be a corrupted Windows file as it crashes when scanning the
Windosn subdirectory. My laptop was loaded with XP Home but the recover CD
does not offer the option of repairing Windows XP - I would have to re-format
& lose all my data.
My question is, Is there any way of repairing windows XP without having to
re-format??
Thanks in advance
