XP Home and Sharing

Hello,

I have 2 machines. 1 is XP home and the other is XP pro. The xp home
machine has 2 printers attached to it and its download folder
(c:\download) shared.

When I goto the XP pro machine and try to attach to the shared printer
on the home machine it can see the printer but cannot connect. When I
try to attach to the download folder on the home machine it shows the
pro computer but wont let me access it.

I tried making the logged on username and passwords the same on each
computer, enabled every services that I could think if that had anything
to do with the networking and neither of them helped.

I am aware that XP home is network crippled but it does have the ability
to share printers and folders and also connect to the network.

The XP home machine has a static ip where as the xp pro machine has a
dhcp ip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

VJF

On Home boot to safe mode, and the default 'administrator' account. Set the
Permissions of the security tab to allow the other machine users to have
access. (find names/computer...)
