xp files lost and trojan found

have xp home and have just found a trojan on my system
TOJAN.NORIO
need help to do 2 things
1. remove the trojan-my norton did not pick this up at all
2. xp won't open properly-especially the control panel-
can't access programs.
xp is oem and the manufacturer is out of business-so i
cant get help from microsoft or my computer firm.

hope someone can help

Be careful with typos. there is no tojan, easy enough to figure you meant
trojan though.
