XP fax sharing VS 2003 server?

Russ: I appreciate your clarification on the issue,
because the ambiguity of the documentation had me confused.

The only place I can find it clearly stated is in print
properties where it says the device cannot be shared,
although the fax behaves so much differently from printer
sharing that I figured that all of those permissions
regarding fax "printing" were used to manage the share
instead.

HERE IS THE REAL CONFUSING PART:
Fax console help > Understanding remote fax resources:
"To send and receive faxes you can use a local fax device
attached to your computer, or a remote fax device located
on a network." Then under 'Specify remote fax printer
settings' the documentation describes connecting to, and
specifying settings for the remote fax printer.

Which remote fax printing capability is this referring to
exactly? Does windows server 2003 support remote fax
sharing where XP pro does not?

Thanks again
Brian H.

The remote fax printer in Help refers to any server based fax printer that
can be shared, such as SBS Fax or Windows Server 2003 Fax. The Fax service
in Windows XP can serve as a client to either of these, but cannot be shared
itself.
