XP does not see other computers

Home wireless network connected to a wireless router.
Router connected to cable modem.
3 XP computers and 1 W2K computer on the wireless network + 1 XP computer
(I'll call it the base station) connected via Ethernet to the router.

ALL computers can access the Internet (through the router) without any
problem.

ALL computers can print through the base station computer which is acting as
the print server.

None of the XP computers can "see" the other computers on the home network,
through "Show workgroup computers". Don't get any error message, just nothing
shows up in the window.

The W2K computer can "see" and file share with ALL of the computers on the
network.

All of the computers are set up the same way, as far as I can tell.
Troubleshot with all FIREWALLS turned off, but didn't change anything.

Any clues?

Thanks Robert, XP computers can ping each other by IP address, but NOT by
hostname....
Ran browstat: Identified W2K computer is browser master, but got errors
saying something about couldn't retrieve host list from browser master....
Still trying troubleshooting per your web link. Thanks.

Bob, do you know that page you sent him to, has a 'malicious spyware' warning on it that takes an unsuspecting user to an MEDIA.FASTCLICK.NET page?

I'd be very hesitant about trusting that people using this NG are experienced enough to know not to click on that stupid flashing banner.

I don't see any flashing banner when accessing that page. What browser
are you using?
