You need to download and install updated drivers for the graphics card.
You would get them from the computer manufacturer first, or the card
manufacturer second. So go to the manufacturers' respective sites and
look up the model numbers under Support, Downloads.

Dell VOSTRO 1510 ?
I see there are two drivers on the Dell site. Either the notebook is
one of those, that has two GPUs (the Nvidia one runs when you're
gaming?). Either that, or there are options in the model, which
include or don't include the Nvidia graphics. In any case, do
some checking as best you can first, to determine whether
the graphics driving the screen, are Intel X3100, or Nvidia.

All I see listed for graphics here, is Intel GM965/X3100.
No mention of Nvidia in this "dmesg" output.

The chipset drivers should be installed first, if you haven't put
those in yet. They help identify various devices, such as
System PCI-PCI bus bridges and the like. (Device Manager, System
Devices)
