xp digitally signed drivers show as not signed when installing

this is a continuation of the error 39 sound card proble from a different
angle ...the drivers for the sb audigy soundcard are digitally signed and
show up as such in the properties pages in device manager and also in
dxdiag...but when I'm installing them windows says they are not digitally
signed...I tell it to go ahead anyway ....so..windows is seeing them but not
seeing them?????????? thus the error 39 in device manager " cannot load the
drivers for this device...drivers are corrupted or missing"
any help gratefully appreciated

Sometimes xp does not remove all the driver components on uninstall, Only
solution i have found for this kind of issue in the past is to get a program
called driver cleaner , which will remove all the "creative sound files"
recommend uninstalling the sb drivers then booting into safe mode run
the dc program and then try doing a fresh install.. sad thing is driver
cleaner used to be a free program not sure if it still is

-- Thanks Vandellia. I will look for that...but I think the problem is
corruption of the system somewhere...probably the registry...because I also
tried installing a different make of soundcard and got the same response....
