xp dial up password is wrong

I have had to revert to dial up and have set up my dial
up connection to include user name & password. When I
click to go online the user name is correct but the
password is wrong. No matter how many times I ask it to
remember the password I enter or delete and start from
scratch the password always comes up wrong and is a lot
longer than what it should be. Anyone out there that can
help?

For security reasons, the password that shows up will
NEVER be the same as your 'actual' password. This is so
people watching over your shoulder won't know how long
your password is, which can make cracking it a lot easier.

The password is still saved correctly, the next time you
see this, just dial the connection and don't touch the
password.
