p.c.world rekon theres nuffin wrong with it!,hence me-----Original Message-----
I've read that other people have had this same problem
that I'm having. Now the funny thing is, I had NO issues
when I first loaded up my XP and then the games.. they
all ran just fine. Somewhere between then and now they
begin to crash & I believe it is somewhere in either
Direct-X or the compatability between my video card &
XP. I have uninstalled/reinstalled ALL my drivers..
updated them to WQHL cert. I've tried it with 8.1 Direct
X, then with DX9 and same issue. I've gotten all updates
for Windows & ive cut down the acceleration. I've checked
all loaded up programs & cut all non-essential ones.. I
have reformatted my HD once already & installed NOTHING
but the basics along with updated Vid drivers & STILL the
same issue. I am using a AOpen Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 V- 64
video card & have 512 Megs of ram with a 40g HD & 1.7ghz
Athlon CPU. My computer has no reason to do this & no one
seems to have an answer either at my Vid card
manufacture's site or even at Nvidia's. Can SOMEONE
please shed some light on this and not give a runaround??
I'm a veteran at the computer so give me something to
work with. Thank you!!
