XP computer objects not showing up in a Windows 2000 domain

We have a Windows 2000 domain running in native mode. We
have purchased several XP Pro PCs and set them up for use
on our domain. They can participate fine in the domain
and pick up policies assigned to the user. The computer
object, however, is not being created for any of the PCs.
Disjoining them from the domain and rejoing them does not
create the computer objects either. Any ideas on how to
fix or do I just need to create the computer objects
manually?

If they're picking up policies and logging in to the domain there has
to be a computer account somewhere.

Are you sure they haven't been moved from the Computers CN?

How many total object do you have in AD?
