It looks as though you may have problems with your page file. If you
absolutely can't get into windows, then there's nothing else for you to do
except bite the bullet, and re-install windows. As it seems to be the page
file that's become damaged, you might have to do a complete re-installation
rather than just a repair install. This means formatting the Disk or
Partition that your Windows is on and starting again unfortunately. :(

If you can somehow, get into Windows Right click on My Computer, choose the
Advanced tab in the dialogue box that opens and click the "Settings" button
in the "Performance" area. Once again, choose the Advanced tab in the
dialogue box which opens. At the bottom of this you will see an area named
"Virtual memory." Click on the "change" button. You will need to move your
paging file to a new partition or another disk. If you only have one
partition or disk, you will either need to make a new partition using a 3rd
party utility such as "Partition Magic" or you will need to re-install
Windows.

To change the position of your Paging File, first you must delete your
original Paging File. To do this click on the drive that holds it. You will
know which drive this is as the Size of the Paging file is shown in Square
brackets next to the drive letter. Once you have done this, choose the "No
Paging File" option.

Now, choose the partition or disk where you want to put your new Paging
File. Make sure that at least one - NOT the "No Paging File" option - of
the options relating to the Paging File Size has been chosen, then click on
"Set."
Once this is done close all dialogue boxes properly by clicking OK on each
box. You will now be asked to restart windows. Do so.

If it is your Paging File that is the cause of your problems, this should
cure it. I say should because, as I'm sure you already know, nothings
definite in the Wonderful World of Windows!

if this option does work, it is a good idea to move at least part of your
paging file - at lease 1Gb of it back to the C: drive, as Windows needs at
least this amount on the C: drive to carry put a memory dump in case of a
Stop Error.

Good luck!

Waldo Point

A thought,

Boot from the XP cd and go to thee rescue console and type chkdsk /r. this
will repair disk errors and perhaps your page file.
