XP Backup Questions

I am going to back up a large amount of files (about 70 GB) to an external
HD. I have looked at XP's backup program, and it appears I will use the
"normal backup" for the initial copy of files. After that I want to
schedule a weekly update and am confused about the difference between
"incremental" and "differential", most specifically, which one would be best
for me. My files will change generally on a daily basis, but the changes
will be minimal. Disk space on the external HD is not an issue. Any
information and/or advice would be appreciated.

It depends. Do you want to back up your installation
(i.e. Windows, programs) or do you want to back up
your data?

Pegasus, data only, sorry for not being specific. The link Juan provided above answered my questions. Thanks for the response.
