XP automatically shutting down when returning from hibernation

Hi all,

I have been having an intermittent problem with my XP automatically shutting
down straight after returning out of hibernation (no error messages, just
closes all my windows and shuts down). It has been happening more and more
recently (well everytime for the last week or so) and google and the MS KB
come up with nothing (tho i did find something similar on these newsgroups...
but with no solution that worked for me). I have tried disabling the windows
auto update as suggested in another post (which was for VISTA) and to no
avail.

Has anyone else encountered this 'slightly annoying' problem?

dbl chk all hibernation setings, any other hard/sftware changes?
