xp Automatic update nofication.

on automatic updates, i selected Notify me but don't automatically download
or install them but that option will not show notification when using a
limited account . I could customize it using gpedit.msc to allow
non-administrator to receive update notifications but haven't enable it since
the requirements is Window Server 2004, XP sp1, 2000 sp3.

does anyone here know if it's ok to enable it even if sp2 is not listed on
the requirements?
