XP. Adding a local printer without administrator rights ?

M

Michael Enk

Hi All,

I am having a problem. I have a lot of users on Windows XP Pro. They are all
only users on the computers, but this prevents them from installing local
printers or adding network printers directly through and IP address. Does
anyone know how to grant a "user" account on Window XP Pro the rights to
install a printer without granting the user administrative rights ?

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks,
Michael

Sorry - no way. If you make them Power Users and given them the LoadDriver
privilege, they can, but that opens up the machine a lot towards those
users.
