When I attempt to access the www.sportingoptions.co.uk
website from my home p.c. I receive the following error

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please
correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or
try again later.

----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------

The stylesheet does not contain a document element. The
stylesheet may be empty, or it may not be a well-formed
XML document.

I was accessing this site ok from my work p.c. but it
doen't work from home . I have contacted the sites
technical help and after downloading and reinstalling IE
it still has the same error. The support have said it is
IE that has the problem.

More likely it is a problem with your XML support which is
a separate download.

Try updating your XML support.

You can find instructions for doing so in the resolution for this article

<TITLE>833766 - You receive a 0x800A01AD error message while you access the Windows Update Web site</TITLE>

BTW that site uses About:Blank for building its menus
so if you have it in a different security zone that might have some
unexpected side effects.

Good luck
