XIRR Help

Hi all

I have a range of dates going from 30 Jun-04 going monthly
to the right until 31 Jul-24, I then have a Total row
below that I want to do an XIRR calc on.

There is nothing in the first cell but then there is -
$1000 under 31 Oct-04, then +$1000 under 31 May-06, then
+$10829601 under 30 Jun-06 and then -$3518823 under 31 Jul-
06.

The XIRR calculation comes up with a ridiculous number
such as 2.98E-09.

any ideas?

Hi Nick!

The XIRR function is rather nasty in terms of providing logically possible
answers where an error message is more appropriate.

Post your formula.

I suspect that putting in a guess rate of -0.9 might be all that you need to
do.
