Xdrive type program I can use to sync between two computers?

Hello All,
I'm trying to find a program (free or commercial) that I could use to backup
files from one computer to another over the internet. Kind of like xdrive
for online backups.

My dad would like to backup some stuff online and so would I just in case a
disaster hits. But we don't want to pay for it if he can backup to my
computer and I to his. We both have high speed internet.

I'm just looking for some ideas here. I'd like it to be as automatic as
possible. Much like xdrive.com or other services like that.

Thanks for the input!

How much data? Usually your ISP provides some amount of space on their
servers. For instance, the main DSL ISP where I live is offering new
customers anywhere from 150-500MB as part of the package. Probably your
ISP has something like that, too.

I don't know of one that will retain your data for free and you do NOT want
to pay the prices that I've seen thus far. But, by what ever means, each of
you make a backup once a month and take a copy of that backup and swap it.
In other words leave YOUR copy at his house and he leave HIS at your house.
Off-site is better than online normally. If not possible due to remote
locations then a neighbor's house is just as good.

It would be several gigs. I'm looking for a program that would run in the
background and backup my stuff to his and his stuff to mine. Again,
something in line with XDrive.com that is easy to use.

Thank you for any suggestions.
