Xcel--conditional availability of cells in a form

Want to place a condition on a cell so that it is
unavailable until a parent cell is populated in the form
I'm creating in Xcel. Trying to force a user to complete
the form in the correct order, and need the ability
to "grey out" child cells until he completes the parent
one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you should be asking in an Excel group? Or is there an Outlook
connection here?
